Things Worth Noticing in Deadpool 2 Teaser Trailer

Wet on Wet.

A new teaser for Deadpool 2 just dropped out of nowhere, and the Bob Ross inspired tease is nothing but awesome.  Even though the actual film footage is only a few seconds long, there are still a lot of things worth noticing.

First, Bob Ross Deadpool’s choice of colors seems to be inspired by classic sci-fi films with names such as Clockwork Oragne, Doc Brown and Soylent Green.  There are also names such as Betty White, shout-out to Deadpool’s love for Golden Girls, while Silverlicious and Girls of Indigo are inspired by Beyonce’s Bootylicious and, obviously, the Indigo Girls.

The actual footage is short and sweet, and we get glimpses of a few characters.  Familiar faces are Negasonic Teenage Warhead with new hairdo, Dopinder, Weasel, Blind Al and Vanessa.

New character we get a short look at Domino, a new mutant played by Zazie Beetz.  There’s also a mysterious new kid played by Julian Dennison.  The actor was hilarious in Hunt for the Wildepeople, so we know he’s perfect for a Deadpool film.

We didn’t really get to see Josh Brolin’s Cable, but a metal arm.

The credits at the end of the Deadpool Bob Ross show has a lot of funny references too.  It mentions Geordie Laforge from Star Trek: The Next Generation, as well as Thomas Edison on Lighting.  Camera 1 and Camera 2 are both operated by Wayne Campbell, a reference to Wayne’s World, and the the lead singer role goes to Jerrica Benton, Jem’s alter ego.  The security job goes to Dalton, Patrick Swayze’s character from the film Road House; grip goes to Chim Chim, the monkey from Speed Race, and last but not least, the editing is done by Blanche Devereaux of Golden Girls.  Deadpool’s love for the Golden Girls runs deep.

At the end, even the teaser has a Stan Lee cameo:
