Coming this November.
Nintendo has finally dropped details on the much anticipated Animal Crossing game for smartphones- Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. The game is coming free-to-play for both iOS and Android devices coming late November.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp plays like other Animal Crossing games, but it has players manage and personalized campsite instead of a town. You can collect materials to craft furniture for camp site, but you can also skip the process by buying real world cash called LeafTickets in the game.
Pocket Camp also allows you to level up your friendship with the characters. If you decorate your campsite with their favorite furniture, they will come visit. You can also invite friends to come visit your camp by exchanging in-game IDs, or even random players that you can befriended.
The game will have day/night cycles, as well as other places to visit such as Sunburst Island. There will be a Marketplace to where familiar Animal Crossing characters will sell furniture, clothing and such.
There are options to customize characters too. You can choose boy or girl, with options to change eyes, hair and skin color. Nintendo has also promised seasonal events for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, as well as limited-time furniture for the events.
