The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild First DLC Pack Details Revealed

Coming this summer.

Nintendo has revealed details on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s first DLC Pack.  Titled The Master Trails, the pack will come with new additions to enrich the gaming experience.

The Master Trails will only be available as part of the season pass for $19.99, and it will come with Trail of the Sword, Hard Mode, Hero’s Path Mode, Travel Medallion, Korok Mask and new equipment inspired by previous Zelda characters and games.

Trail of the Sword is a challenge with 45 different rooms where Link must defeat enemies from one room after another, starting without any armors or weapons at all!  Clearing this challenge will ensure Master Sword always in the glowing powered-up state.

Hard Mode will give player higher ranked enemies, so more Blue Bokoblin instead of Red.  Higher-ranked enemies usually not found in normal play will be found in this mode, and enemies will recover health during battles, and notice Link easier too.  Hard Mode will also add number of planks floating throughout Hyrule, and reaching these planks will allow players chance to battle enemies and collect more treasures.

Hero’s Path Mode will help players track their progresses.  The new mode will document every step players take, and a green path of the Hyrule map will track players’ movements in the last 200 hours.

The Travel Medallion will be located in a new chest somewhere in the game.  Once collected, the medallion creates a new fast travel point where Link is standing, allowing Link to fast travel there at anytime.  Only one Travel Medallion can be registered at a time.

The Korok Mask will allow players to find Koroks easier.  The mask will shake when a Korok is nearby.  Lastly, the new equipment will be themed on characters like Midna and Tingle, as well as games like Phantom Hourglass and Majora’s Mask.

The Master Trails pack is said to be released in summer 2017.  Not actual date yet.  Information about the second DLC pack will be released in holiday season.
