Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie to Get New Voice Actors

Now voice by Jackass star Johnny Knoxville.

This new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is not shy with controversies.  Deadline reports that Johnny Knoxville from Jackass will be voicing Leonardo, instead of performer Pete Ploszek.  The same thing will be happening to master Splinter, too.  Instead of Danny Woodburn the performer, Splinter will be voiced by Tony Shalhoub now.

It’s unknown why the make the changes, and Knoxville has some silly voice too.  Leo is definitely the most straight laced turtle in the group, so it’s unknown what the rest will sound like.  Or maybe Knoxville will be more serious for Leonard in the film instead?  Meanwhile, it’s understandable to have Shalhoub to voice Splinter, but it probably means the character won’t have an Asian accent this time.
