BioShock Infinite DLC Unveiled

Challenges Maps “Clash in the Clouds,” and Story DLC “Burial at Sea.”

Irrational has announced details about three DLC: a challenge maps Clash in the Clouds that’s available starting today, and two story DLC that will come later.

Clash in the Clouds is available now for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for $5. Clash in the Clouds includes four challenge maps (The Ops Zeal, Duke & Dimwit Theater, Raven’s Dome and Emporia Arcade), each of which contains 15 waves of enemies. Each wave includes a Blue Ribbon Challenge with a unique, difficult objective, and leaderboards will track your scores on each map and allow you to compare with friends.

Clash in the Clouds also includes the Columbia Archaelogical Society, an in-game museum players can explore to view character models, concept art, behind-the-scenes videos and more. Players will also be able to access new Voxophones and Kinetoscopes that provide additional insight into Columbia’s lore.

And the most exciting thing has to be the upcoming two-part story DLC: Burial at Sea.  The story will apparently take place in the original BioShock universe, and we will meet that version of Booker and Elizabeth.  The story will take place at the famous December 31, 1958 and we will see Booker uses Plasmids instead of Vigors.  Also, we will be playing as Booker in the first episode, and Elizabeth in the second episode.  It’s also stated that the second episode will be a different gameplay than Booker’s, and it is almost survivor horror.

It’s exciting too see how Booker and Elizabeth going to fit into the Rapture history, and what Rapture is like before the fall.  These two story DLC are $15 each for those who haven’t purchased the Season Pass yet.
