Vine Video Sharing App Now Available on Android

The popular video sharing app is now available for Android devices.  You can download the app at Google Play store.

The app is previously only available for iOS devices, so it’s great to see the app makes its way to Androids.  With this app, users can shoot, edit and view 6 second video clips with existing 13 million users.  Users then can share the videos through Vine, or embedded it directly on Twitter timeline.  The Android version also has the ability to zoom, while iOS does not.

However, the Android version does lack some functionality only available in iOS: the ability to support front camera, searching, mentions and even hashtags.  The company does say that they’re planning on making the two version comparable, but it’s just going to take some time.

If you have been looking forward to the Vine app on Android, let me know how you like it in the comments below.
