My girlfriend got this for me because she’s awesome like that!  Well, let’s review it!

The playset has the appearance of a pizza box, and this is a perfect disguise for a wonderful playset.

What’s inside the box.

The pizza box opens up and becomes the awesome playset.

Small package, big revelation!

And again, this is what it looks like with the box closed:

And when you open the box–

This thing is actually a trap.

see?

It sends enemies flying.

The pizza launcher is really safe for small kids.  There’s no way you can hurt anyone with it.

Every turtle playsets must come with an “enemy kicking pole.”

Anyway, the set is a perfect substitute for those who can’t afford the Sewer Layer Playset.  The set comes with great gimmicks and it can keep kids entertain for hours.  Of course, said if you have the figures first.  I also like that when you’re done playing, you can put the entire playset back in the pizza box form without any spare parts lying around.

Perfect!
Perfect!

By the way, I’m still saving money for the Sewer Layer Playset.  Hopefully one day.

  1. I totally agree… owning this awesome set makes me a little less sad that I have no room for the Sewer Lair. We hear all the time that toy companies don’t do playsets because retailers don’t want to waste a lot of shelf space. I really wish Hasbro and Mattel would take a look at this format and do something similar for GI JOE, Marvel or DC figures. Only not as pizza boxes, of course!

    • totally agree man! it would be cool to see those marvel or dc figures to have some sort of playset like this. Maybe a watchtower for the dc figures?

also, i didn’t know wasting shelf spaces is the reason retailer don’t usually have big playsets. That explains why i never see the sewer lair playset at target or something. Thanks for the info, man. I learned something today 😀

  2. that is nerd-tastic, especially the pizza box exterior~ i never did collect much in the way of action figures nor there respective playsets, but i recently picked up a small LEGO TMNT set (a 79102 “Stealth Shell in Pursuit”, to be precise). cuz minicule LEGO sai (they come with Raf) are awesome. Cowabunga! >[:)

    • haha, no way! I also got a lego set too! i have the 79103 turtle lair attack one! Im planning on review it some day
